Nevada Half Marathon
Friday @ 8:30 am (new start time)
Twilight is at 6:46 AM, and Sunrise is at 7:11 AM
The Nevada Half Marathon is a boutique downhill half marathon starting at the top of Spooner Summit and ending on the bike path on Lakeshore Drive about 150 yards before Hwy. 28 in Incline Village. This race is limited to 150 a la carte runners and 150 runners doing the Trifecta (3 half marathons in 3 days). You may run this race a la carte, and it has a 3-hour and 45-minute time limit.
"For a fee, shuttle buses" will take you to the start line, leaving from RACE HQ at the Beach Retreat & Lodge on the morning of the race. Pre- and post-race transportation is not included but is available for $30 and returns from the Incline Village finish area between 11 and noon. A support crew is strongly suggested for your transportation needs, encouragement, nutrition, and picture-taking. There will be at least three Aid Stations along the route, approximately every 3 or 4 miles.
This race is run on the shoulder of the road facing traffic or on the adjacent bike paths. In some spots, the shoulder is very narrow.

For this race, you must follow the Rules of the Road as you run on the shoulder or bike path, always on the left side, facing traffic when not on the bike path.
The Nevada Half is the fastest of the three half marathons. The first 11 miles are almost exclusively downhill from the start in the parking lot at the intersection of Hwy. 50 and Hwy. 28 and run north to 557 Lakeshore Blvd in front of the Crystal Shores Villas, Incline Village. The finish is on the bike path 100 yards from the intersection of H28 and Lakeshore Blvd. The race starts at about 7000' and ends near lake level, near 6250', with incredible lake views.
There will be different finishers' medals for each race and each day, as well as finishers' license plate holders. T-shirts will be given at the Expo or the finish line. Only. Each race has an overall award, but no age division or other awards will be given to these boutique races.

Race bibs will be picked up on Thursday; see Time Line. They can also be picked up on Friday at the start line at Spooner Summit Snow Play Area. Parking is limited to the right side when and if you are dropped off.
