Shopping Local, But Where to Start?

It’s awesome that you’re making an effort to support local businesses! Sometimes, it does feel like smaller shops and services are overshadowed by big chains, making them hard to find. A great resource I’ve been using is Local Business Directory. It’s a local business directory specifically for Fraser Valley, covering everything from retail stores to home services. What I love about it is that it’s built for locals, so you’re not just getting random results—you’re actually discovering trusted businesses right in your area. The site makes it super easy to search by category, so whether you need a florist, a mechanic, or a boutique, you’ll find options right away. It’s a great way to connect with local businesses and keep money in the community!

Thanks for the recommendation! I completely agree that sites like Yelp and Google tend to prioritize businesses that pay for ads, which makes it hard to find real local gems. Fraser Valley Local sounds like a much better alternative since it focuses specifically on local businesses. I’m really excited to check it out—I’ve been wanting to find a new local coffee shop, so this might help me discover one!
